Acute pulpitis is a condition appearing at pulp level as a form of inflammation.
Factors that may cause pulp inflammation can be of either physical or chemical in nature.
Symptoms:
- Strong pain on a particular tooth caused by certain factors (eg.: cold) that can last up to several hours. Pain can be relieved by itself or with the help of anti-inflammatory painkillers.
- Chemical examination reveals a tooth with a deep cavity.
Treatment:
Removing damaged tissue, root canal treatment and removal of the nerv, filling the root canal.
